African trade pulling in huge container ships shifted from other routes
The container trades from Asia to Africa are rising up the ranks in their importance to the sector.
The fast-growing trade absorbed 23% of the net capacity additions over the past 12 months, according to Linerlytica.
That was fuelled mainly by giant ships of 24,000 teu that have been deployed over recent months by Swiss liner giant MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company.
