Chattogram Port to fully digitalize by February 2026

Chattogram Port is on track to become fully digital by February 2026, a milestone expected to transform operations at Bangladesh’s largest seaport. The announcement was made during World Maritime Day celebrations hosted by the Bangladesh Merchant Marine Officers’ Association (BMMOA) at the Navy Convention Center in Chattogram.
Port officials highlighted that digitalization is crucial to improving efficiency, ensuring transparency, and strengthening the port’s global competitiveness. They noted that advanced technology will play a key role in streamlining processes and supporting Bangladesh’s growing maritime trade.
As part of the event, the Bravery Award and Excellence Award were presented to individuals for outstanding contributions to the maritime industry. The celebration drew participation from key stakeholders, including Bangladesh Ship Breakers and Recyclers Association President Amjad Hossain Chowdhury and representatives of the Bangladesh Inland Container Depot Association.
With this initiative, Chattogram Port is positioning itself as a modern, technology-driven gateway for South Asian trade.
