NCE lauds $ 10 b export earnings in 1H

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) lauded Sri Lanka’s export earnings surpassing $ 10 billion during the first six months of 2026, amidst the global, economic, and trade and uncertainties.
According to the Central Bank’s latest External Sector Performance report, export earnings increased by 3.3% year-on-year to $ 10.4 billion during the first half of 2026. Merchandise exports rose by 6.3% to $ 6.9 billion despite a decline in services exports, while total export revenue in June reached $ 1,660 million.
The chamber commended exporters in all sectors for their resilience and commitment in maintaining Sri Lanka’s presence in international markets despite ongoing global trade uncertainties.
