Sri Lanka explores maritime cooperation with Japanese delegation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a high‑level meeting on Monday (06) with a business delegation from Mitsui & Co. Ltd, Japan, led by Romesh David, CEO of APM Terminals Bangladesh, and Steen Knudsen, Chief Executive Officer of South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT).
According to Minister Herath, the discussions centered on potential cooperation in the fields of maritime and logistics, reflecting Sri Lanka’s strategic interest in strengthening partnerships across the sector.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Ports & Civil Aviation Anura Karunathilake and Western Province Governor Hanif Yusoof, who also serves as the President’s Special Envoy for Foreign Investment. (Newswire)
