Kazakhstan advances logistics cooperation in talks with India
Murat Nurtleu, the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated at the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the “Central Asia – India” Dialogue. Transportation and logistics, regional cooperation, counterterrorism, and the development of innovative technologies were among the primary areas of partnership between the Republic of India and the Central Asian nations that were the focus of the summit.
In order to maintain regional security, Minister Nurtleu underlined in his remarks the significance of fortifying the multilateral “CA-India” arrangement and the necessity of further expanding cooperation in crucial sectors.
The significance of transportation connection for the nations’ sustainable economic growth was emphasized by the Kazakh Foreign Minister. The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which facilitates the secure and effective movement of goods from Asia to Europe, is being aggressively developed by Kazakhstan. The Minister extended an invitation to Indian businesses to take part in the execution of significant projects meant to increase the capacity of the route.
According to Minister Nurtleu, “Central Asia is developing into a significant logistics hub that can connect Asia and Europe through Kazakhstan.” The significance of coordinated responses to contemporary dangers and challenges was underlined by the participants. They talked about measures to improve cultural exchange, stop transnational threats, and solve environmental challenges in the area. The implementation of cooperative initiatives in Central Asia received special attention, and the “CA-India” Dialogue’s key topics were delineated.
The Kazakh side demanded that institutional mechanisms be strengthened within this framework, interregional trade be diversified, transit routes and green energy be developed, and collaborative efforts be stepped up in areas that show promise, like financial technologies, digitalization, and the IT sector. The foreign ministers reaffirmed their common commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation in the “Central Asia – India” model in a Joint Statement adopted at the forum’s conclusion.
