Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects opens ICD at Bihta
As the rail-focused logistics company expands supply chain opportunities for the eastern state’s importers and exporters, Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects Ltd, backed by private equity firm Global Infrastructure Partners India Pvt Ltd, has opened an inland container depot (ICD) at Bihta, about 40 kilometers from Patna, the first and only dry port in Bihar. According to Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects, the ICD’s commissioning ushers in a new era of the state’s economic and industrial development.
It is anticipated that ICD Bihta will boost Bihar’s economic potential, encourage trade, manufacturing, imports, and exports, and draw large amounts of investment to the state. By delivering all contemporary logistics solutions directly to exporters’ and importers’ doorsteps in Bihar, ICD Bihta will offer one-stop, single-window business facilitation services, which will significantly improve the convenience of doing business for both parties.
Rail-connected ICD Bihta is a part of the network of rail-linked terminals operated by Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects, which also includes ICD Birgunj in Nepal, Burkunda near Ranchi (Jharkhand), Ludhiana (Punjab), Siliguri (Bengal), New Rewari (Haryana), Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), and Kanpur and Bhaupur (Uttar Pradesh). Indian Railways has granted Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects a Category 1 concession to operate container trains on routes throughout India.
