PDEXCIL chairman leads team of fabric exporters to Sri Lanka
The Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) Chairman, K Sakthivel, has led a delegation of Indian textile exporters to Sri Lanka, in a bid to boost bilateral trade, promote industry partnerships, and explore new opportunities for textile exports.
The delegation met the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka in Colombo. In a meeting with the Sri Lankan Minister of Industries, both sides explored collaborative initiatives between Indian and Sri Lankan industry players, including joint ventures, skill development, knowledge exchange, and sustainable textile practices, the release said.
The Indian team interacted with Sri Lankan textile importers, garment manufacturers, and trade associations, and discussed enhancing the sourcing of Indian fabrics and made-ups; facilitating B2B partnerships and direct trade channels; participation in textile trade fairs and buyer-seller meets and logistics and market access improvement strategies, the release said.
