U.S. Court of Appeals Motions to Court of International Trade to Work on IEEPA Tariff Refunds
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) this afternoon, March 2, granted the motion of the plaintiffs, including V.O.S. Selections, for immediate issuance of the mandates, in essence sending the matter back to the Court of International Trade (CIT) to begin proceedings to address and resolve the issue of final relief, which is likely to include IEEPA tariff refunds owed to effected importers.
The NCBFAA Customs Committee and Counsel of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., will continue to monitor the CIT’s activities as it relates to the Administration’s Feb. 27 response to the Feb. 20 Supreme Court decision striking down the use of IEEPA tariffs.
